Cindy Ackerman

I was born in Jacksonville, Florida. My Dad was a Navy man and I moved many times - from Florida to Germany to California and back. We finally settled in Leesburg, Florida where I began regular Bible study and church activities during my high school years.

 

I gave my heart to Jesus at a small church in San Diego. I was 12 years old and remember the incredible peace and joy I felt as I walked down the aisle, responding to the Pastor’s invitation. Throughout the years of marriage and raising a family, I often heard the familiar voice of the Lord and learned to respond to Him.

Along with my husband, Ken, we began to serve the Lord more faithfully in 1998, growing in the sweet love and grace we found at South Brandon Worship Center, now called Overflow Church. I continue to teach women’s Bible Study and co lead a small group.

 

The Lord called me to prayer ministry nearly 20 years ago, and in 2008 I joined our wonderful and dynamic church staff as Prayer Pastor. It’s my great privilege to intercede for our church, community and the nations, and minister to our church body through personal prayer. Our staff continues to equip the body of Christ to carry the love of God to everybody

My hope for Overflow church is for us to encounter a deeper revelation of the magnificent love of God both individually and corporately.
